Look. I get you are a Tutu fan. Great. But, to me he's always been a bad bet more due to size than anything else. Fast. Good hands. Not particularly elusive.
So, rather than to get snarky, just answer the question: Objectively, how many successful 155 lb. players in today's NFL? If the answer is none (which I think it is), then to place a bet on someone being a mini-unicorn is not the best decision. Is he an OK football player? Sure. But, he is nothing special and that makes him pretty limited and replaceable.
That said, McVay clearly sees value and I have to respect that. As of today, my guess as to his value is that he is experienced and doesn't make route running mistakes, and so his presence as a 4th or 5th WR gives time for the younger guys to develop and/or prove themselves.
