The fact that the Rams changed uniforms right after that SB victory is an unfortunate by-product of the process the NFL uses to implement a uniform change;

The Rams introduced the gold & blue uni's for the 2000 season, meaning they had to request that change prior to March 1, 1999. Even though they won the SB after that 1999 season and maybe would have like to keep wearing their SB uniforms, the change was already approved (and set in stone).
