Rams gave up a 2cd (and more) for what many believe is a 1st round talent but again "We will see over time". But I would wager on the Rams and our staff. I dont know their "hit rate" but im sure it skewed up after 2023. Like most have pointed out, this was the FIRST time since this board was established, that there was almost universal approval of our draft. That is not only unique but demonstrative from an educated fan base. They took a chance and turned an area of need and uncertainty into a highly probable team strength while being fiscally responsible. Im the last person to second guess anyone (ie Rams)because I am fully aware I dont have all "the facts" necessary to make decisions or judge. (Especially me who doesnt really understand X&Os. ). But I do have strong faith in our group! Their track record is great under McVay.
It depends alot I assume on Shulas scheme. I love alot of high pressure blitzing as a fan and wish they had done more of that in the recent past. However statistically, you often showed pretty clearly that Raheems scheme was not only adequate, but actually very good. So lets see Shulas spin on this.
Since 1960s for me, this has been the best 15 years of being a Ram fan! Starting with that 1999 season WOW! And now McVay ..WOW WOW. Thats why I hate seeing comments like "fire McVay", "he doesnt know what he is doing" etc etc.
Maybe those fans did not live through the 90s lol. I thought jeff fisher would have been more successful but that was a tough and depressing administration. We are blessed and extra competitive now.
I moved from Mississippi to California for a surgical residency largely because pf my love for the Rams, only to get here and have them move to St Louis. What a buzz kill! I used to love working in trauma at UC irvine ER and get to suture up and take care some of the Ram players coming over from Anaheim stadium in the 80s! Just RAMbling here lol but Im so glad they ARE BACK in LA. No matter how anyone slices or breaks this down, OUR choices can only be judged when time brings more clarity. I have more faith in this organization that I EVER had before!
