Re: NFL executives gave their thoughts on the Rams trade for Braden Fiske

Any trade can work, but being selective and intentional about when the team is willing to trade up is essential. Most teams, the Rams included, know they're trying to be the exception to the rule when they move up for a player. There's nothing wrong with making that bet in the right situation, but falling in love with a player and ignoring history usually ends up producing disappointing results.

First - "Right situation" = Rams lost HOF DT, have replacement for him ... Turner, also lost a DE who was average. Rams lose skill with Turner but are "right situtationing" that Fiske will UPGRADE Williams. And Tyler Davis? Maybe replaces some snaps by Turner at NT.

Next - Define "usually"

the split is 47% to 42% with 11% being equal using the (IMO flawed system used in piece) so

Do "usually" mean 5% difference?

Please.

And the proof cannot come until, really, 2026 anyway.

In a Weaker 2025 Draft as well

azramfan56May 05, 2024 05:40AM

What do you think? - Stafford window is now - Rams "forced" to get Fiske as DTs were coming off the board quick

BerendsenRam46May 07, 2024 06:59AM

  Lots of second-guessing ... still

JimYoungblood5365May 06, 2024 03:23PM

Guy's reasoning is faulty as Fiske was rated 21/198 DTs in run stop % by PFF

since6842May 07, 2024 08:16PM

I think he's talking about scheme fit run stopping.

JimYoungblood5331May 07, 2024 09:17PM

Thank you - Do you think Newton, Jenkins, Hall, Sweat, other were better fit for Rams?

since6835May 07, 2024 09:36PM
