I know reality. I don't need to be taught the basics of roster management and the salary cap. What I was referring to was when the money is somewhat equal, the Rams go with known limited option instead of the unknown better upside option. When it comes to filling holes with limited salary, the draft is always a good way to go. That's why I was in favor of a ILB in last year's draft along with this one. I would argue that ILB play did hurt us some this year, especially when opponents drives got extended.
We don't have a thumper playing ILB. It's a concern of mine too
