Well they have higbee, Parkinson, Allen and Long.. Higbee will heal and alot of valuable money is currently spread between Higbee and Parkinson. (They knew there would be an option to trade up for Bowers all year with lots of draft choices in 2025 as ammo.) All of a sudden we hear of this divine interest in Bowers (and unsuccesful attempt to get him.) Their contentment to have Bryce Hopkins lead their TE group for years behind higbee leads me to believe this is an area group that doesnt demand a future team altering loss of draft capital. Yes IMHO this has not been a prioritized group and CERTAINLY not more than DLine, especially now. We currently have 4 TE on roster.
After our loss of jonah williams and AD, we currently have Kobie turner and 2 other players (brown and murchison) whos contract is up after 2024. So possibly only 1 in 2025 signed.
So again IMHO I think our TE stable is currently larger than our DLine and I think possibly less important.
I dont believe anything said this time of year. Historically it has always been diversionary. I think everyone in the NFL knows AD retired and we need more bodies and the Rams would genuinely prefer less competition in the draft for that position. To help deter someone jumping over them to snatch a postion they see as perceived need for US, the Rams desparately have to come up with some other BS narrative (brock bowers etc). Of course this is just my opinion and I respect that of others. I guess now we can see the rest of the draft whether they appear to emphasize need of tight ends or Dline with their picks!
