I dont believe this either. With our current obvious needs and a stable full of expensive tight ends, I doubt they were going up for Bowers. Maybe for JJ or a top defensive player.
Now I believe they are reporting this to add further smoke or false flags from teams thinking they want "something other" than what we need/want. (Dline IMO). They are hoping to get "our guy" in the second round!
Just further diversion tactics. TE is the last thing we NEED. They have never cared about this position. And considering Stafford wants to commit to more time, they have a SB window NOW, and they have been satisfied (somehow) with the Wolf as backup QB, I dont think another QB is a priority. More diversion smoke. Grappolo is an excellent BU and we already know they think more of him than wentz. Lets see what happens but this makes perfect sense to me. They want another DLineman.
