If it is a really lesser-rated guy, then yes, go BPA, say it's a 9 for offensive guy and a 7.5 for defense, then get the BPA
because the draft is a crap shoot you don't know that the "9" is going to be better. It's a crap shoot, so it has to be a significant
drop and trust your scouting/personnel department.
Alternate plan: if the offensive guy with a 9 grade is at a position that the Rams don't need (like guard, for example) then trade down with a team that needs a guard and draft that 7.5 defensive guy at a spot in the draft where his value makes more sense.
