So I don't think just comparing stats works here. I think the lions generated a lot more easier throws than we did. Also I think this year's version of Stafford was better than 2021 Stafford so simply looking at stats isnt a quality assessment. Especially stats like yards or yards per attempt. That said, I don't think goff the structured stuff will ever be goff's issue. The out of structure stuff is where Stafford and Goff are very different. Stafford is just better at manipulating the pocket and squeezing in right throws. Not a shot at Jared, I think Stafford is better than Brady in that regard too. But some offenses need it and others don't.
And I hope this comes off as objective. I wanted to focus on that these two QBs do differently and why the change was necessary.
