What you said here...
"Unfortunately for Jared, the McVay offense in any form relies heavily on timing - anticipation - which is hard to coach; some QB's have it innately more than others. Stafford and Warner have it. Jared's self admitted difficulty to "layer it in," to hit the intermediate routes in a crowded field, is closely related to the anticipation/timing issue. Try as he might he couldn't measure up to the higher demands of McVay's system."... is exactly what Goff has been excelling at in Detroit - making anticipation throws on timing to cutting receivers right in the middle of the field. I would think you'd know that after watching him dice up the Rams defense in the playoff game.
You said just compare his stats to Stafford's in that game.
OK, let's, but why didn't you?
Stafford 25-36 69.4% 10.2 YPA 2 TD's 0 Ints Rtg 120.9
Goff 22-27 81.5% 10.3 YPA 1 TD 0 Ints Rtg 121.8
What did you have in mind as the big distinguisher in that comparison?
Ramily!
