Fair response. To be clear, I don't recommend trading up for anyone this draft. I just don't want to trade back to 28,29, 30 and miss out on our targets and then pick what? Guyton, AD Mitchell, Mckinnstry. None of that sounds great. I think by 28 , all our targets may be gone, even Chop, who I don't particularly trust.
and get a WR, CB, Edge, DT---even future QB
Not that I want to do that --- some of those positions I don't want, but seems Sweat (not my fav, but he has some good things from what I've seen) will be there
in early 2nd, Fiske --- either of those two might end up being better than Murphey and Newton. Maybe not, but we just disagree. In deep draft, get as many
players as you can in the top 100. A trade down could get a mid-#2 and a late 3rd. Possibly ... 2 more players in top 100 would be grat as long as Rams don;t
lose quality going to say 25-28
Also, in deep draft I would trade 2 5ths to get a 4th and 2 6ths to get a 5th. Don't need all those 5th and 6ths ... to trade up to get 2 guys in the 130-170 range.
then finish wit the 200+ guys, one which can be a kicker.
But never say never. If a top 10 (as Rams grade him) is there at 19, then sure grab him. Sometimes even a top 6-7-8 guy can fall for various reasons.
Also, if indeed Dallas Turner is all that. trading up is possible if he falls to say 14-15 and Rams could trade down...
I am for trading down but can see scenarios that are stay the same or trade up. That's how I see it.
