Corbett was a 4 year starter at LT in college and made the switch to guard in the NFL. When the Rams tried him out at center he had no prior experience at the position.

Avila, OTOH, played both guard and center in college. In fact, he played more snaps at center in college than at guard and received all conference honors as a center while receiving no such recognition as a guard.

In Corbett's case his ability at center was a complete unknown. But for Avila you can make the case that center is his best position.
