However I keep forgetting that the game in which Wentz impressed is the one that McVay had zero to do with the gameplan. Perhaps despite how it looks from the outside Wentz couldn't do what McVay wants out of his offense, at least now well.
I preferred Wentz also but I think McVay sees Jimmy G as a better "fit" for his system and most likely is right.
Jimmy G will be able to make the read and get the ball out faster and to the correct player better than Wentz could have. IMO, Wentz is more of an "improv" QB or a "if the first read isn't open, run it" QB whereas Jimmy G is more of a stick to the "system" type of QB.
I will trust McVay on this one even if he did see something in The Wolf that nobody else saw!!!

#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
