Exactly. He has a great eye for detail. I never noticed Purdy doesn’t audible. This is like Belichick making defensive adjustments after McVay’s microphone disconnects from Goff’s headset in Super Bowl 53. Spags was allowed to throw monkey wrenches into the works without getting burned by Purdy checking out. He found an advantage and used it for maximum damage.
And the other thing—and Reid does this with the KC offense—is that Spags isn’t a guy who plays it straight—his way or the highway—all game. He picks his spots. And it appears he has a knack for finding the perfect time to go for the uppercut.
In game adjustments are on a sliding scale where needed. He’s not just a halftime guy and then he’s done adjusting for the day.
He’s pretty generous in giving away his trade secrets too. I’ve seen a video or two with him an Baldinger where he goes over coverages and other facets.
Good for him on getting another ring!
