There's a local, live tv show on every morning called Show Me St Louis. This morning there was a segment were they were talking about the Super Bowl with a guest.. and the guest was Belleville, Illinois native (It's just across the river so he's considered a local boy), Tony Adams who is a Safety with the New York Jets. Here's what he had to say:
Host: Some say it was love, Tony. But from a player's perspective... When Travis Kelsey was getting mad at Coach Reid, what were your thoughts? 'Cause some Swifties were like "Ewww"! Do we need to check this?
Tony: Me looking at it from a guy who plays the game, I honestly loved it! Him bumping into Coach Reid, I think that was an accident. But I love a guy that's passionate about playing the game, that wants to be out there helping his team and is willing to sacrifice it all for his team. Guys like that.. I LOVE seeing something like that. That got my heart going, it got that fire inside of me burning.
Host: What a cool perspective!
If that's Coach Reid's perspective which it probably was, then cool. But the optics can make it not look cool, even if it was.
