Let's start with the obvious difference.
Ben Johnson is not in Goff's ear telling him exactly what to do right up until the snap like McVay did.
McVay was a puppeteer, guiding Goff's every move. Goff often locked up when he was left on his own under McVay.
That is not the case in Detroit. This whole thing about Goff being the same guy as he was in LA is a bunch of baloney. The only thing thats the same with Goff is his physical limitations. Mentally, emotionally, and knowledge-wise he's a totally different guy.
IMO, the key to this game is can the Lions D rough up Purdy. I'm skeptical that he is tough enough to take the kinds of hits the Lions put on Stafford. If the Lions D slap him around a bit, I think they've got a good shot at winning the game. Probably its their only shot.
