I like Ryan Clark, but he comes off as foolish here.
He compares the two and claims that Purdy benefits from playing with good players, whereas Allen raises the level of his teammates with his play.
In what situation does Allen do this? In what situation has he ever done so? During the regular season against inferior competition?
How many post season games has Allen won? Two?
To be a quarterback who benefits your team, you don't necessarily have to run around in the pocket for 18 seconds or turn flips before you throw a pass. Not so?
Specifically which of Allen's Bills teammates did he elevate in last week's game? Was it perhaps Stefon Diggs? Not so? Was it perhaps then Khalil Shakir?
Purdy must have done something right because the 49ers are still playing.
The Bills? Not so much.
