He’s not getting offers for the same reasons we’d like to see him get an HC job and open up the DC position for McVay.
He’s come a long way in schemes and creating third and outs which were our big complaints in 2021–no more 9 minute drives where offenses march down the field against the soft shell.
But as very good as the defense was with a bunch of rookies, rookie contract players plus Aaron Donald, we saw the poor tackling against Detroit and, all season, we’ve season a dearth of take-a-ways.
IMO, it’s not just us Rams’ fans that want to see a more aggressive style of play. Statistically, it might not be the better of the philosophies compared to bend/don’t break. But it’s more risk, more reward, and it’s just human nature to want to see that.
Why can’t Raheem be the first DC to have both? He can design a bend/don’t break defense that takes the ball a way and tackles with aggression. I bet if he concocted that, he’d get an HC job.
