. And what I appreciate about posters like stlramz and jimyoungblood .
My take is that there were issueswith both the offense and defense.
I saw a defense losing on early downs in the first half. Missing tackles and not getting pressure from the line.
I saw them use pressure or sim pressure the same both halves.
Rams did better on all three downs in the second half.
In the first half the outside the 20 offense was great. Big plays, beating man coverage at times, but slowed in red zone.
I the second half, more success .. but breakdowns inside the 20. ALONG WITH some dubious penalty calls and no calls.
I am not one to blame refs for a loss ut I will say the calls did not seem even. The roughing on Hampton in first half was not worse than the
noncall of Stafford for example.
The only point of contention I have with the defense is that there was some lack of blitzes in first half versus the blitzes in the second half. There was not some huge disparity
I posted all of them here so people can take a look and see for themselves. They are welcome to watch it themselves on their own to see if they disagree, but I showed all the blitz situations and what was done ... people can see that there was more success in 2nd half, MOSTLY because Jones had 2 really good pass rush moves to beat the back blocking him. He didn't did that in the first half.
But people can check it out ... it's always good to get into the specifics about things. In a game this big, broad sweeping statements don't always get to the actually heart of the matter.
