A solid O with a genius in charge should be able to overcome a 4 point halftime deficit when the defense only gives up 3 points in the entire second effing half. That's a one TD gap.
The Lions scored 24 points on their home field. They averaged 33 per game this year, that's a big difference.
Like 2-3 scoring drives difference.
The D did their job.
So it’s ok to give up three straight 75 yard TD drives to start the game?
And then just blame it all on the offense…. Thank god we had an offense to help us stay in that game in the first place.
The defense failed us in the first half, the offense failed us in the second half.
It sucks, but it is what happened.
