legs, to use a journalistic term.
There's no way to get more than one angle, one read, out of the story.
The Stafford vs. Goff story, while almost a non-story, has
legs.What does he say, she say? What does someone else say about what he/she said? What is really going on behind the scenes? There is conflict, tension, and ongoing intrigue in this story. In other words it has legs.
Now if one side or the other served a special interest, then another journalistic term kick in:
