We'll, this season kinda broke down into two halves. Being honest, McVay was not on a coaching hot streak entering the bye, and may have cost this team a win or two.
But after the bye, the team had an identity and McVay did a whale of a job getting this team ready for making the playoffs. I saw a guy who learned from mistakes made, and really tried to stay grounded in his game planning.
Aside from ST, he made the right choices in new hires and we have a solid core of position coaches. I love that he built a new system off the Belichick foundation, and it's led to a revitalization of this offense. McVay made so many right moves before we played a single game.
And it's the self realization and adjustments made from that that makes this his best year of coaching IMO. Continual self improvement... McVay is pretty darn good at it. I hope he's here another decade, because he's the best coach this organization has ever had.
