With Stafford playing the way he is and the rise of Puka, Turner and others, did we gt rid of too many players too soon???

Could we have been a legit SB favorite/contender if we would have kept a few key players? We are so close even after the "retool" it makes me wonder if this year could have been even better if we would've waited another year or just not got rid of so many players.

I get why they did what they did. It's been covered many times but I just wonder how much better we could have been?
