Rodgers got to 1 SB with all those really good Packers teams. He repeatedly had HFA in the playoffs and stunk in the 4th quarter.
Most recently, he had HFA against Niners in 2021, and choked in the red zone at end of game.
He’s always been too afraid to throw a pick. He pads his stats, and chokes in big games when he has to show some guts.
In a big game with when you need a guy with ice water in his veins, I’ll take Stafford every time.
Now you're just Rodgers bashing. You had an opinion about him and used comeback wins as your evidence and when I showed that the evidence is skewed ... that your assumptions can at least be QUESTIONED based on what actually happened over long careers you won't even CONSIDER the things I posed.
How is that fair?
Now you are using just your anecdotes. And you feelings rather than facts. And assumptions that in what I see are totally false without using the same level of scrutiny for Stafford.
Padding stats? Prior to his years in the Rams he was called Stat Padford for a reason. It may not be fair that the two Stafford pads stats far more than Rodgers.
And whatever you say about Rodgers "stinking" in critical situations applies more to Stafford than Rodgers. I happen to like Detroit and watched them a lot. The things you are saying about Stafford don't apply every time. He throws more picks in critical situations but when Stafford "choked" it's not in the highlight packages.
I get it you take like one guy over the others but it has to be evidence-based. If you want to talk about ROgers not achieving what he should have, given his talent that's a fair conversation to have.
But I respect your right to like whoever, and even to ignore all the evidence in my post ... which you didn't even acknowledge ... tells me you had your mind made up based on your dislike for Rodgers. I am no Rodgers fan personally but that does not mean I am going to ignore facts.
But in no world, in no situation in an NFL is Stafford better than Rodgers. It fails from the numbers, it fails by reputation, it fails my eye test. I saw too many games where Stafford's poor decisions got his team in a hole. And he'd come back and win some but lose more and in those situations, throwing to Calvin Johnson he'd get 300-yard passing games when for most of the game he stunk. And I LIKE Stafford. But his hero ball has always been a problem.
But Rodgers is simply more accurate has a stronger arm, is tons smarter with the ball but puts balls into the tightest windows I've ever seen and he does it for an entire game. Is he as good as Brady in terms of winning? No. But no one is. But Rodgers will go down with the other QBs I mentioned. He'll be in HOF> Stafford is questionable...his only chance is if he can end his career on high note--which he's on the way to doing.
McVay has, for the most part, limited that.
Now, I am willing to listen if you have anything other than cherry-picked situations that you don't apply to Stafford. I am willing to be proven wrong but it can't be on anyone's say so. But if we're going to reduce things to no evidence but "I know what I saw". Well, I know what I see, too. I watch as much, or more than most fans and as someone who studies, watches and listens ... I have to just strongly disagree. There just nothing backing it.
And trust, me, again, I get that you love Stafford and maybe Rodgers annoys you and that is fair...
