I always thought that the rule of thumb was to constantly try to improve your roster if possible. Being content with what we have just doesn't seem smart to me...unless the issue really isn't the kicker.
I would think the "hold" is more crucial to the kick than the "snap" is. A good holder like Hekker was could turn a bad snap into a good hold.
Is this McVay's way of telling us without REALLY telling us that the issue is the holder and not Havrisik?
From my viewpoint on the couch and not dissecting the videos of each kick, it just looks like Havrisik isn't striking the ball consistently or correctly. I think he had this same issue in college. Maybe Alyo can elaborate.
So, for now, I am blaming Havrisik for just being a bad kicker. Maybe we can get Sam Sloman back or that Fickle guy??? lol
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
