I was playing around with Over The Cap's salary cap calculator this week. I actually plugged in a similar deal to Corbett's (~$8.5M/year) and they can afford it. Not only because of current projected cap space but also in part because they will release Noteboom and Allen (saving $9.9M) and I think they will also release Hunter Long. And that's also factoring in keeping RFAs like Jackson, Hoecht, etc.
But if he really commands $12M/year I wonder if they'll give it. They need to spend on more premium positions (Edge, Cornerback) and I really can't see Snead paying that much to a RG. And at that price it probably also nets them a 2025 4th round comp. pick which we all know the Rams love.
