That's all true. People are transplants here. I live in Los Angeles but came here from NJ. I was a Rams fan there too. I remember as a kid going to Giants Stadium
In a sea of dark blue jerseys as the lone Rans fan clad head to toe in Ram's gear.
Often, I was the only happy fan after WE would whip them. I did the same in Philly.
But, there's more to it. There's just so much to do on a nice Sunday in Los Angeles in the fall. I play baseball every Sunday. Others play sports, hike, you can go to the beach, movies, plays, concerts, go to other sporting events, soccer, baseball, basketball, we have teams everywhere. And you can watch the game for free on your local TV.
You can see the game at a Sports bar. You can watch it on TV at a friend's house.
I'm a rabid fan and catch about two live games per season. So Fi is amazing. Been there a lot. Love the place. Hate getting there though.
Getting there is easy....I live about 90 miles south and only takes us about an hour and 20 minutes to get there on Sunday mornings at 8am ...It is leaving that kinda sucks
It is a financial commitment though, and an all day event....but after not having my team here for over 20 years it is worth every penny and every minute....the core group of fans that actually do that for every game is probably only about 30-35,000 out of 75,000 season tickets that are sold.....hopefully with more wins that number will grow by about 2-3000 a year.
The problem is that the secondary market is so lucrative and easy to use these days that most of the casual fans will sell the big ticket games and go to a few games a year when they can't sell for big money....
The Rams are trying to take steps to curb the people who sell most games by making them go to at least 3 games to maintain parking priority, but it simply isn't enough....
They should make them go to at least 5 games a year or you go to back of the line for parking passes
