The Rams only cut three guys from their 53 man roster.
Rypien was one, clearly to make room for Wentz.
Corey Durden was another, probably to make room for Bobby Brown III's return from IR.
Myles Gaskin was the other one. My guess is was behind Zach Evans on the depth chart and had no real role on the team. The Rams night activate Hunter Long to fill this roster spot.
The other guy the Rams cut - Dresser Winn - was released from the practice squad, probably so the Rams can sign Rypien to the PS once he clears waivers.
