I think this is what I was pointing out in an earlier post.
The Rams will simply not pay a lot for a back up QB. They want all the money they can have to spend for the off season.
You can bet that what Wentz wanted at the beginning of the year was well above vets minimum or he would have been on some team.
But now, he's affordable because he wants a job and a chance to set himself up for a payday next season. And, QBs that play for McVay get paid if they do pretty well.
Most any team wouldn't mind having Wentz as a back-up provided the price is right.
