I'm aware of the soft pass-catching TE proliferation.
Surely, if WRs like Kupp, Nacua and Skowronek can become proficient blockers there must be some reasonably athletic TEs that are solid pass catchers but can also provide at least slightly above average run & pass blocking.
Heck, if Skowronek was 15-20+ lbs bigger and much stronger he'd fit the role quite well. He's limited from the FB/H-back spot but not a terrible compromise. I use to LOVE a good H-back and since it would be rare in today's video game designed offenses it could be quite effective.
