It's not that they aren't interested... it's just that they can't. Gotta find someone available... and not just anyone. He'd have to fit the profile McVay's wants. Wolford fit... poorly I'd add but never the less McVay was comfortable with him. I don't think, could be wrong, McVay just had a 'body' backing up Stafford.

Gotta believe they had high hopes Bennett could be that guy. AND... he still may be. We don't know the situation right now... but say it is alcoholism, that's treatable. Of course we don't know how the Ram's feel about Bennett at this moment in time but it could be that they still have high hopes, and rather than waste assets to bring in a temporary placement they're willing to bide their time.

Not saying I know that.. or even think it most likely... but I do think it's a legitimate opinion.
