Noteboom's salary is only $1.5M this year. He gets paid just over $83,000 a week over the 18 week season.
If they trade him after the Cowboys game they get out from under the remaining 10 salary payments. So they would save $833,333 this year. That amount would be added to their current cap space of $4.3M, raising it to $5.1M
Then next year all remaining cap obligations come due to the tune of $15M. But they would avoid paying his $5M bonus and $10M salary. To me it looks like a wash as far as next year's cap goes.
