It was the turning point in the game
During the game, all they had to do was come of the locker room to start the 2nd half, and be semi-successful on that opening drive.
Get positive yards on first down, avoid major flags, and get some contributions from the run game.
Right at the snap of that Watts pick, you can see our WRs run clear on the weak side (Puka) and wide side (Tutu)
Even before that snap, it was time to run the ball more.
It was a game ender. After further review, that is confirmed.
While I could get chapped at the coach about play calls, the mistake is completely Stafford's.
He's had some just crazy great throws. 2 in back to back weeks to Kupp on the same play to the sideline that are beyond excellent.
And yet, the negative plays have been our undoing.
But the ball caroming off a WR hands into a DB capsized the ship in the Bengal match.
Matt just came out of that huddle and was going no where else with the ball but to Kupp. And we ate dirt for it.
The hard part in this game is that we got some terrific plays from a number of guys. We were the better team at so many spots, but it's just not a game of personal achievements. Sure Puka leads the league. Sure Matt ranks high for lots of stats. Stats only count for turnovers. And we have too many.
