Hasn't CMC been injured a lot? I remember some posters here kind of hoping that his injury history would continue after he signed with the 49ers.
And he's hurt again right now. Not sure CMC is a good example.
I also read that same study that Shecky posted and it is in no way a definitve answer to the questions about smaller RB's getting injured more but it does show some good data.
They mention in the study that a lot of factors go into it too like the type of play calling, muscle mass\bone structure of the player and the running style of the said player. Some RB's initiate contact, some avoid it.
Every situation is different but common sense tells me that a bigger, stronger body should be able to withstand more punishment than a smaller weaker one.
I don't like my RB's small and weak, I like them...
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
