It’s not about RB height or weight.
It’s all about RB effectiveness.
KW got 158 yards on the ground in 2nd half. Sooooo…
Exactly, the best RB’s in the league these days aren’t big bruisers…
RB’s of all shapes and sizes get injured …it’s a brutal position in a brutal sport
It's 217.59375 lbs based on this list:
OurladsJames Cook from the Bills is 190 lbs
Kyren Williams is 194 lbs
There might be one more RB1 under 200 lbs but that's about it.
Kyren Williams is 23 lbs under the average weight of all RB1's right now and is the second lightest RB1 of all 32. That actually is a lot when it comes to the RB spot since it IS such a "brutal" position to play.
I agree that most backs aren't "bruisers" anymore more but the stats show we definitely have the "lightest" backs in the NFL so I also agree there is a pattern of McVay liking "smaller" players.
I think the issue with the perception that smaller players tend to get "dinged" more than "bigger" "stronger" players do and since we always seem to have a "dinged up" smaller RB, that might have some truth to it. lol
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
