It cracks me up that Snead got some heat on this board and others for his lousy 3rd round compensation for the Ramsey trade to Miami last year.
Sorry folks, that was Ramsey's league wide value. (Snead didn't rush this trade) Point blank. Now there are some on here that believe Van Jefferson was worth more compensation then what Snead got for him from Atlanta in their 2025 late round swap?
Trust me, Snead got what he could for an underachieving WR in the last year of his contract. A swap of late picks in 2025 works for me.
It's as if some fan think Snead takes the first offer he can get and doesn't discuss the value of the player (league wide) before pulling the trigger.
Sorry, but not exactly true, After the trade of Ramsey was finalized, Snead stated there were better offers on the table, but they wanted to do right by Ramsey. So it was not his league wide Market.
"Two days later, Snead called back with a proposal, asking whether Miami would part with the 77th pick and reserve tight end Hunter Long. There were teams willing to go further than that, but the Rams wanted to do right by Ramsey"
in any event, I am glad we got something for both Akers and Jefferson and I hope both players go on to have great careers.
