I was right about Akers while hoping I was wrong.
I was partly right about Puka, thought he'd be a starter and important piece - he's exceeded my expectations.
I was right about Avila, ditto the above. The O line, back to strength and with new blood, didn't worry me.
I was right in thinking the defense would be OK - not to worry, that our secondary players would step up.
I originally figured the Rams for at least seven, possibly nine or ten wins. We'll see how that pans out but I'm optimistic that we just might hit that ten win mark.
I was wrong about Tutu. I saw him get hit in the chest by the ball, drop it, and hurt himself falling on it. I feared for him. I tought he'd get broken in two, possibly wind up in a wheechair.Serious. I saw his role as a decoy or occasional deep threat - nothing more.
Instead in these opening games, if a ball is close enough to grab, he grabs it and hangs on - through contact. He runs a variety of routes and is a multifunctioning piece on the field. Now, when the ball goes to him I'm excited. I'm so glad to be wrong about Tutu.
