I agree with
a lot of what you say here my man. But this isn't what very many people thought McVay would be. The consensus was "he's learned" and "he's going to improve" and he's coming back and "he's got a fire in his belly again"
in my opinion he looks like the exact same guy he's always been. An excellent play designer with some limitations on offensive play calling because he falls in love with his way of doing things.
Then says "I'm sorry I need to get better this is on me " to fans and media, but doesn't actually get better, and floats back towards the bad habits and decisions he has always committed. This is what he is, we've seen six seasons so we know what he is.
Its not going to change so Snead should look to upgrade the players on the defensive side of the ball to balance gamedays.
