And yes, the dropoff didn't occur strictly because of the personnel change. And yes, I think Boom wouldn't have whiffed on Stafford's sack.
If Dot had arrived in camp and had practice snaps with his team and new coaches, he'd be in a different place than he is now - trying to develop as a starter between games on limited practice time. It will take awhile before we see him, barring further injury.
