Akers is still the lead dog.
Someone mentioned the amount of snaps played vs getting touches. Akers is on the field, they basically run blitzed every time and he got the ball almost every time.
Kyren steals yards, and is unmatched in pass pro. So when he's on the field most aren't thinking run, which creates more space.
Now that we have shown a tendency to run Akers when he's in the game, now we switch it up.
For me, it's more Akers vibe that would concern me. He didn't look confused. He looked like he knew the game plan.
And in my opinion, the whispers I've heard about running plays he knows won't work are part of the arsenal, and Akers was that decoy. That said, he got a TD out of it.
I want to see more screens to Akers.
