I could not believe the defense played as well as they did. we are small up front but we hustled like heck to make up for it and all our DBs were very aggressive.

Stafford is the best as I have EVER seen him....physically since maybe his rookie year. The dude was making throws that were jaw dropping - from ALL platforms....and doing it effortlessly. We won cuz of Stafford. period.
If Matt can do this every game we will be in contention for playoffs with this very young team. Puka & TuTu were good enough to make up for Kupp's absence.
When Kupp comes back this 3 WR group will be dynamite - maybe the best since Kupp, Wood, Reynolds.

The OL was a big story also...just really solid. No sax.

Young and Turner made mistakes but did so at 60mph...which is a good thing. Our team feels very hungry which is rejuvenating for the old fellas I would think.




...but yes, next week's the real test tho.

I know they were missing some players on the OL but 12 yards??? 1 first down??? With a bunch of Rookies and in experienced players playing in their first game as a unit???

That was the most impressive thing for me. Morris and his staff had that unit ready to go. They played, hard, fast and aggressive!

Oh, by the way...that Matt Stafford dude is pretty damn good!
