The defense sure did seem to tighten up after the 1st quarter. You can see the overall speed and aggression going to the ball. You have to imagine the will get better too with all the young guys maturing.
I still think they may be vulnerable to a strong power running game but it looks like we might have a decent pass rush and the defensive backfield was impressive for the most part.
I don't expect to see that same result every week and yes they have "weaknesses" that other teams will exploit but at least we know what we are capable of.
Considering how we have much less talent on defense this year than last makes this all the more impressive. Morris and his staff got every ounce of passion out of that "lesser talent"!
That tells me that the old "he didn't have the talent" excuse for being soft may not have been true because he just did waaay MORE with LESS than he did all last season.
Credit where credit is due and deserved. IMO, I give Morris and his staff the Defensive coaching of the week award! They earned it and deserve it.
Another great thing to see was how the young kids are "buying" what Raheem and staff are selling and that is HUGE and can't be understated!
Morris and Staff get an A+ yesterday!!! Well done Gentlemen!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
