I can see the similarities you are referring to, but there are a few differences.
The Rams got 69 starts out of Goff and he was their starting QB for over 4 seasons. (The last 7 games of 2016 and then each of the next 4 seasons). The 49ers got 4 starts out of Lance. Of all the QBs picked in the common draft era (since 1967) that is the lowest total for any QB picked in the top 5 for the first team he played with.
Goff was the QB as the Rams lead the NFL in scoring (2017), won 2 division titles, made 3 playoff appearances, and earned a Super Bowl appearance. Trey Lance is a career 58 for 102 (54.9%) for 797 yards with 5 TDs and 3 INTs. Statmuse credits him with a 4-4 career record.
Goff was part of a trade package with the Lions to acquire Stafford, who subsequently won a SB as the Rams QB. It remains to be seen what will become of that 4th rounder the 49ers got for Lance, but I'm willing to bet that guy won't lead the 49ers to a Super Bowl win.
