I got the impression CR got full of the LA/Hollywood thing and wanted a flashier product than Knox was putting out. Ground Chuck didn't resonate with CR and his Hollywood buddies so he was shown the door.

Wasn't just CR, either. Knox had his critics in the local papers for his conservative offenses.
