If it's not X-Man, I don't believe we currently have anyone capable of being even an average returner on the roster. Especially if they are asked to mainly stand there and fair catch the ball.

Austin Trammell also has the capability returning punts and I like him, but I believe there are many like him on the roster. Trammell might not be an electrifying return man, but he will take what they give him and is sure handed, which is better then a fair catch. He would be more like an Eddie Brown of yesteryear for example.

Well, let's hope that Trammell or X-man step up and at least be serviceable.

The last time we were in this predicament it took a long time to finally find someone (Powell) that could handle returns competently while bringing a little explosion once in awhile.

If not, the Rams will eventually have to look outside the org for a guy that can get it done. It still irks me that the Rams could not at least retain Powell.
