If it's not X-Man, I don't believe we currently have anyone capable of being even an average returner on the roster. Especially if they are asked to mainly stand there and fair catch the ball.
Austin Trammell also has the capability returning punts and I like him, but I believe there are many like him on the roster. Trammell might not be an electrifying return man, but he will take what they give him and is sure handed, which is better then a fair catch. He would be more like an Eddie Brown of yesteryear for example.
At least not our long term answer at returning punts and kicks. I don't see us using Tutu in that spot again and I am not sure McVay wants his WR's to fill the spot anyway. Maybe a full time special teams player or RB that is way down the chart.
I think McVay might want a true "specialist" at the PR/KR spot and he might not be on our team just yet unless someone really stands out in the preseason.
IMO, McVay doesn't seem to value that position as much as some coaches however, once we get closer to being a contender again, that should change.

I agree Dude, the final pieces to the championship puzzle are still a long ways off. When the Rams have picks and cash available again, we will see it materialize at some point.
