Do the Rams want to pay him another contract.
Stafford is currently under contract thru the 2026 season (when he'll be 38 years old).
And then there's this: "
According to Sports Business Journal, Rams COO Kevin Demoff said at the CAA World Congress of Sports on Wednesday that the team is planning a bid to host Super Bowl LXI in 2027." [

This is just me speculating wildly, but the Rams might have a long term objective of playing in SB61. That would be the last year of Stafford's current deal. Would the Rams try to run it back with a 39 year old QB? Or get right to the next 'retool' without having to suffer thru a 5-12 season first?
