"While Matthew Stafford played at an elite level in 2021, that level dropped last season before he was shut down after just nine starts."
Elite level AT TIMES, first half of year and in playoffs. Slumped last half of season.
he's streaky, always has been. can be as good as anyone in his career, even Rodgers and Mahomes
when he's hot. When he's not you want to bench him.
Health? Has had health issues forever. But he's tough and plays through them which
causes some of his bad streaks. Has a chronic back, and other ailments and then add
to that whatever injuries he gets in a given year on top of chronic back and arm things.
So, at 35-36 or whatever he is, he's not old. He's not ever going to be healthy again
because the chronic things will always be there.
So how long does he have? As long as he does not get the major injuries on top
of the chronic stuff he's got a few years. Long enough to develop a replacement
or take a stud next year if one is available.
Can be effective probably until 37-38.
