It can. For sure. But I think by comparison it is easier to cover weaknesses in a secondary with a good pass rush than vice versa.
Hopefully there are pleasant surprises for them in both spots. Totally agree they have to get back to more aggressiveness like in 2021. And Hodges-Tomlinson can help there. I do believe that a big part of playing softer coverages last year was because (a) they knew they simply were not going to score a lot and had to try and prevent big plays and (b) lack of pass rush which was so apparent.
I also really like having Pleasant back coaching in the secondary and the Jimmy Lake addition. I think they will be plus factors.
