No lie. I saw two such plays! I did, I did!
Like you I'm a little jaded by "highlight" videos that were apparently produced by the cheerleading section; guy gets a huge block and runs through a hole I could drive my pickup through, maybe throws a bit of a juke at one guy and runs through forty yards open pasture... the girls know it's time to dance around, shake those pompons, swing that hair, swivel those hips... They know that player is really good but don't see the same guy doing the dirty work.
The plays I saw were of Evans wedging through a tight, tight crease, keeping leg drive and upper body push going with one shoulder into the crease, and coming out the other side, getting hit, carrying that guy until the second tackler arrives. The other was a shord yardage goal line play where he went through a nonexistent hole and remained upright and running into the end zone.
Where did you find those examples?
